In the vaccination campaign that was carried out for the first time simultaneously in the 46 municipalities of the entity, in the particular case of León, children between 12 and 14 years of age, some of them went, either with their father, mother , uncle, aunt, even from your grandparents.

Adults who were the ones who filled out the documents with their children, since they already have experience in the vaccination day.

One of the vaccination points was the ISSSTE in León, and Gabriela, mother of a 13-year-old teenager, commented that her husband was very serious in the second wave of Covid-19 infection, which was in December 2020, but both she and her children were asymptomatic; However, now her son did not want to be vaccinated.

“He didn’t want to come, he said I didn’t get sick anymore (…) I didn’t want to come, because the vaccination is too late, everything is over, I didn’t get sick, I don’t need it anymore,” said the mother.

Gabriela stated that, although her son did not want to, she took him because she does not know when another wave of infections with a new strain may occur, and now that this day has opened, the most convenient thing is to take advantage of the vaccine, which she hopes will help. to reduce symptoms.

Luz Adriana, the aunt of a 13-year-old teenager, stated that her nephew did not want to get the vaccine either, but even if he does not want to, it is necessary and even mandatory to have the vaccine, because in many places they ask for proof of vaccination.

They ask her every time she goes to the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) or at work, so to avoid problems that later at school they ask for them, it is better that she get vaccinated at once.
