Even a vampire in V Rising from developer Stunlock Studios has to have his restore health and yourself heal. It’s a brutal world full of dangers, so you have to make sure you survive. It’s good to know how that works.

How do I heal myself in V Rising?
There are several ways to heal yourself in V Rising. The simplest method is a skill called Blood Mend. To access them, press the ctrlbutton to call up your blood powers. In the following radial menu you can see your skills, including Blood Mend.
Unlike other abilities, Blood Mend is available from the start, which is quite useful. Just be aware that when you use this ability, your character will pause and hover in the air while heals. Of course you are vulnerable and vulnerable during this time. Moving also interrupts the ability. So find a quiet corner to use it.
Blood Mend taps into your blood reserves. When they reach zero, you can no longer heal yourself and you start taking damage.
If you’re out of blood but need to heal urgently, look for a nearby creature or see if you have any items in your inventory that restore blood, such as a heart or a dead rat. You can also ask friendly players on the server to let you drain some of their blood.
When you siphon another creature’s blood in V Rising, keep in mind that it can change your blood type. Items from your inventory also provide a rest here. So if you have found a particularly useful blood type for you, keep an eye on your blood reserves so that you do not end up at zero.
Aside from that, there are other options that don’t affect your blood reserves. There are various ointments and potions in V Rising that can be crafted to heal your character. Naturally, this requires raw materials. On the plus side, they don’t consume blood and are quicker to use. This makes them valuable items, especially in battles. Already at the beginning of the game you can Vermin Salve craft, you unlock more as the game progresses.
