Studies from government laboratories United States of America conclude the leak theory corona virus from the laboratory in Wuhan, China plausible and worthy of further investigation.
The report was compiled in May 2020 by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California, according to Wall Street Journal (WSJ) which was launched Reuters.
The US State Department used the data to investigate the source of Covid-19 at the end of the Trump administration.
Lawrence Livermore’s assessment, the report continues, refers to the genomic analysis of the Covid-19 virus. But the government lab was reluctant to comment on the report WSJ.
Last month, US President Joe Biden ordered experts to find answers to the source of the coronavirus.
US intelligence agencies are considering two scenarios in this regard. First, the virus was the result of a laboratory accident, and secondly, it emerged from human contact with infected animals.
However, so far, Biden said they have not come to any conclusions.
Late last May, WSJ also revealed US intelligence documents that stated three staff of the virus laboratory in Wuhan had fallen ill in November 2019.
They got sick just a month before China announced its first Covid-19 case.
They are sick “with symptoms similar to Covid-19 and seasonal illness in general.”
The report was submitted at the end of Donald Trump’s presidency. U.S. officials have accused China of not being transparent about the source of the virus.
US infectious disease expert Anthony Fauci has asked China to release the medical records of nine people that may shed light on the theoretical source of the coronavirus from a laboratory leak.
Separately, a top World Health Organization (WHO) official, Mike Ryan, said his organization could not force China to divulge more data about the source of Covid-19.
He only suggested that further studies be carried out to understand the origin of the corona virus.
