Traffic along both roads has been restored along the Jūrmala highway

Construction work on the national road network is currently underway on more than 60 road sections. They will also continue on the Jūrmala highway (A10), where the progress of construction works has allowed to remove a significant part of traffic restrictions, and traffic has been restored along both highway carriageways, the portal “Delfi” learned in the company “Latvian State Roads“(LVC).

In the direction of Jūrmala, there is one widened lane with a speed limit of 50 kilometers per hour (km / h).

In the direction of Riga, traffic is organized in three lanes with a speed limit of 70 km / h. Temporary local traffic restrictions are also possible.

On the Tallinn highway (A1), the Saulkrasti bypass has three traffic light sections and two others with priority road signs.

Until the weekend in the direction of Riga, the exit to the road Saulkrasti – Sēja – Ragana (P6) and also the exit from the motorway P6 in the direction of Rīga will be closed to traffic. Bypasses are organized. Speed ​​limit 70 and 50 km / h. The stage can take up to an hour.

On the Jelgava highway (A8) in the section from Jaunolaine to the bridge over the Missis, traffic is organized along the Jelgava carriageway in one lane in each direction. The repair phase requires half an hour or even more on the way.

On regional roads, the most traffic light sections – seven are on the Pūri – Auce – Grīvaiši motorway (P96), while the longest repair section is from Ventspils in the direction of Kuldīga (P108) with five traffic light sections. It may take an hour for both to leave.

LVC calls on drivers to take into account traffic restrictions, as well as to observe all restrictions and traffic light signals during the construction stages.

Major traffic restrictions due to road repairs on major roads:

  • On the Tallinn highway (A1) on the Saulkrasti bypass three traffic light sections and two sections with priority signs, speed limit 70 and 50 km / h. Please note that the bypass may take an hour to leave.
  • On the Daugavpils highway (A6) between Skrīveri and Aizkraukle there is one section regulated by traffic lights and the speed limit is 70 and 50 km / h.
  • On the Jelgava highway (A8) in the section from Jaunolaine to the bridge over the Missis, traffic takes place along the carriageway in the direction of Jelgava, one lane in each direction. Speed ​​limit in the section 70 km / h. It takes at least half an hour to leave the repair phase.
  • On the Jūrmala highway (A10) traffic has been restored along both carriageways. In the direction of Jūrmala along one widened lane with a speed limit of 50 km / h and in the direction of Rīga by three lanes with a speed limit of 70 km / h.
  • Traffic on the Riga bypass A4 (Baltezers – Saulkalne) over the Daugavpils highway (A6) is organized along one lane with priority signs, speed limit 50 km / h.
  • On the highway Jēkabpils – Rēzekne (A12) in the section from Jēkabpils to Zilāni there is one traffic light section and speed limit of 70 and 50 km / h.

Major traffic restrictions due to road repairs on regional roads:

  • On the highway Ventspils – Kuldīga – Saldus (P108) from Ventspils to the turn to Zira there is more than 20 km long repair section and five sections regulated by traffic lights, speed limit 70 and 50 km / h – you have to take into account that you will have to spend an hour there.
  • On the Inciems – Sigulda – Ķegums (P8) road in the section from the railway crossing in Sigulda to Jūdaži, one traffic light section and 70, 50 and 30 km / h.
  • On the highway Inčukalns – Ropaži – Ikšķile (P10) in the section from Tīnūži to Ikšķile three traffic light sections, speed limit 70 and 50 km / h
  • On the Cēsis – Vecpiebalga – Madona motorway (P30) in the section from Vecpiebalga to Inķēnkalns, traffic is regulated in three sections by traffic lights, the speed limit is 70 and 50 km / h. The stage requires less than half an hour.
  • On the highway Vecumnieki – Nereta – Subate (P73) in a 15 km long section from Aknīste in the direction of Subate, one traffic light section and two sections are organized by regulators. Speed ​​limit 70 and 50 km / h and half an hour on the road.
  • On the highway Jelgava – Tērvete – Lithuanian border (P95) from Tērvete to the border the speed limit is 70 and 50 km / h. It takes about half an hour on the way.
  • On the road Pūri – Auce – Grīvaiši (P96) in the section from the intersection with the road Jelgava – Dobele – Annenieki (P97) to the intersection with the road Dobele – Krimūnas – Zaļenieki (V1098) seven traffic light sections and speed limit 70 and 50 km / h, width limit 2.75 m. The stage will take 50 minutes along the way.
  • On the Talsi – Dundaga – Mazirbe (P125) motorway, from the turn to Valdemārpils (P126) to Cīrļi, the speed limit is 70 and 50 km / h – the section requires less than half an hour.

Repairs are planned to start on several regional roads these days:

  • On the Madona-Varakļāni motorway (P84) in the section from Madona to the bridge over Kuja;
  • In two sections on the highway Valka – Vireši (P23) – from Gaujiena to Vidzeme highway (A2) and from the intersection with the highway Smiltene – Valka (P24) in the direction of Gaujiena;
  • On the highway Ķekava – Skaistkalne (P89) in Baldone region;
  • On the highway Jelgava (Tušķi) –Tukums (P98) in the section from Slampe to Liepāja highway (A9) and
  • On the road Tukums – Auce (P104) in the section from Vaski to the turn to Tumi.
