Blood donation prohibitions also apply to people who have had blood transfusions in the last 6 months. In addition to having had blood transfusions in the last 6 months, injected with polio, influenza, cholera, tetanus, diphtheria, or prophylaxis vaccines within the previous 24 hours, injected with live virus vaccines (parotitis epidemic, measles, and tetanus) within the last 2 weeks and injected with vaccines rabies in the last 1 year is also strictly prohibited from donating blood.

Doing rajah (tattoos) or ear piercing in the last 6 months, dental surgery in the last 72 hours and surgery in the last 6-12 months also prevent a person from donating blood.

In addition to these criteria, there are also several conditions experienced by someone that makes them not allowed to become blood donors such as experiencing allergy within the last 1 week, have had a skin transplant in the past 1 year, have drug dependence, acute and chronic alcoholism, have syphilis, suffer from epilepsy and frequent seizures, clinical tuberculosis, or skin disease in the veins that will be stabbed in the blood donation process and have a tendency to bleeding or other blood diseases, such as thalassemia.
