Apple stopped using the lightning connector on some iPad models, but not iPhones. All iPhone models, from the iPhone 5 to the latest iPhone 13, are supported by Apple’s unique lightning connector. But Apple is about to put an end to it.
APPLE SWITCHES TO USB-C ON THE iPHONE! TESTS STARTED
According to Mark Gurman’s new report, Apple is testing iPhones that use USB-C input instead of lightning. But Gurman says the transition won’t happen until at least 2023. This means that the iPhone 15 and later iPhones may come with USB-C. The iPhone 14, on the other hand, seems to continue to use the lightning connector.
MING-CHI KUO’NUN İDDİASI
In fact, the famous Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo made a similar prediction with Gurman recently. Kuo claimed that Apple will switch to USB-C on the iPhone, which will be released in the second half of 2023. In other words, we can say that Kuo’s claim points to the iPhone 15.
It is quite remarkable that the two claims overlap with each other. Let’s see what Apple will do after the EU’s uniform charging pressure and the increasing demand for iPhone with USB-C from customers.
