Francesco Totti, legendary Roma captain, spoke about Mbappé’s contract renewal with Paris Saint-Germain, and says he understands the French forward’s decision.
“He listened to his heart, he was raised in Paris. It’s not easy to refuse Real Madrid… I did the same 20 years ago to stay at Roma”, he stressed, in statements to RMC Sport.
In 2002, the Merengues offered him €80 million, but Totti decided to continue with the Giallorossi.
The Italian is in Tirana, to watch the final of the Conference League, between Roma and Feyenoord, unable to hide a little nervous: «I’m tense, I would love to play; in fact, everyone would like it.”
