Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy is out for PS4 and Switch – Gaming – News

The original Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, released in 2003, has been re-released for the Nintendo Switch and PS4. In addition, Star Wars Episode I: Racer will also be released for both consoles, although no release date is known yet.

For the release of Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy on the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, not only the graphics have been improved. According to developer Aspyr the controls have also been modernized. This is the company behind the ports for the Switch and PS4. The game was released in 2003 for PC and Xbox; through backwards compatibility the game can also be played on today’s Xbox One.

In Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, players with up to 16 players can compete in six different multiplayer modes. In the single-player section, you are a student at Luke Skywalker’s Jedi School and with instructions from Kyle Katarn, you must complete a variety of missions and learn about a new mysterious sith cult. Players develop lightsaber techniques and Force powers and ultimately have to choose between a dark or an illuminated path.

Another even older Star Wars title will also be released on PS4 and Switch. It concerns the Star Wars Episode I: Racer released in 1999. No official release date has yet been announced, but according to Nintendo this game will be released ‘soon’.
