Song festival update: S10 dances to Spain and anger about Maneskin | NOW

It’s the day of the final of the Eurovision Song Contest and S10 is all set. The singer slept well and has a good feeling about last night’s jury show. She really wants to go for the win, she tells NU.nl. My name is Lara Zevenberg and I will update you on this last Eurovision day.

S10 spoke to the press in good time today. The third rehearsal of the final started at 1.30 pm and of course all artists had to be present. That means a long day for the singer, but she is really looking forward to it, she told NU.nl. “I’m definitely going for the win, I hope we can all pop a bottle of champagne at home tonight.”

Starting position is important, and S10 doesn’t have the best spot: right behind popular Italy and Spain and ahead of Ukraine. But she herself thinks it is “totally crazy” that she has been given that place. “I think it’s quite a compliment that I’m in there, because they are all very different things that affect you in a different way and I just think that’s very cool.”

The top 10 according to the bookmakers

  • Ukraine – Kalush Orchestra – Stefania
  • 2. Sweden – Cornelia Jakobs – Hold me Closer
  • 3. United Kingdom – Sam Ryder – Space Man
  • 4. Italy – Mahmood & Blanco – Brividi
  • 5. Spain – Chanel – Slomo
  • 6. Servië – Konstrakta – In Corpore Sano
  • 7. Pollen – Ochman – River
  • 8. Greece – Amanda Tenfjord – Die Together
  • 9. Norway – Subwoolfer – Give That Wolf a Banana
  • 10. Netherlands – S10 – The Depth

Spain has quite a danceable song and S10 loves to dance. So yes: she stands up SloMo still a lot to go out. And she does that for the rest of the evening: in the green room (the space where artists are waiting) she said she will definitely be dancing.

The rehearsals have angered the public last night and today. Maneskin is scheduled as a break act, but although Damiano David can be heard, the singer himself is not on stage. And Victoria De Angelis, Ethan Torchio and Thomas Raggi were nowhere to be seen either. Although that had been emailed to the press, the fans received no advance warning. And so the crowd was hooting at Maneskin’s stand-ins. The band will really be there tonight, has been assured by the organization.

S10 wants to go for the win itself and commentators Jan Smit and Cornald Maas count on a place in the top 10. “If S becomes tenth, we have done a fantastic job,” said Smit. Maas: “I think it’s one of the better songs this year, so I think she should make the top ten.”
