A crackdown in the east of France resulted in the arrest of a half-dozen people on the morning of Thursday, June 18. These arrests occur after violence linked to a settling of accounts between the people of the district of Grésilles and members of the chechen community. The arrests took place at Dijonbut also Strasbourg (Bas-Rhin), Besançon (Doubs), Troyes (Aube) and Saint-Etienne (Loire).
They relate to suspects who have launched or relayed calls for the mobilization on social networks, or identified on the videos, says the same source.
These operations have been carried out by the Raid, and several BRI (brigades de recherche et d’intervention).
