HANOI – Indonesia adds to its collection of gold medals in Indonesia SEA Games 2021, Friday (20/5/2022). This time, it was Christopher Rungkat/Aldila Sutjiadi who won the gold medal in mixed doubles tennis.
Christo/Aldila got the gold medal after winning over the Thai pair, Patcharin Cheapchandje/Pruchya Isaro, in the final. This is Indonesia’s 50th gold at the 2021 SEA Games.
Status as the top seeds, Christo/Aldila won three sets 6-7(7), 6-2, and 10-5 at Hanaka Paris Ocean Park Bac Ninh. In the first set, Christo/Aldila, got fierce resistance from Cheapchandje/Isaro.
However, the Indonesian pair had to admit the toughness of the Thai pair because they lost 6-7 (7). Then, the top seed rose in the second set.
This time, Christo/Aldila appeared very dominant compared to Cheapchandje/Isaro. As a result, the Indonesian pair won with a landslide score of 6-2.
In the third set, Christo/Aldila again met fierce resistance from the Thai pair. But in the end, they came out victorious after winning through a 10-5 super tie break over Cheapchandje/Isaro.
Meanwhile, previously, Indonesia also won a gold medal from karate. It was Albiadi, Andi Dasril Dwi Dharwan and Andi Tomy Aditya Mardana who got it in the men’s team kata number.
