A robbery took place tonight in the Hornbach hardware store in Sloterdijk. One suspect has been arrested.

Police received a report of the robbery around 9 p.m. A spokesperson said that after his attempted robbery, the suspect got into a struggle with the security guard of the building. Because the security guard got the man under control, the police were able to arrest the suspect on arrival. The guard suffered minor injuries in the struggle.
Police say they are still investigating whether more people were involved in the robbery. It is unknown if the suspect had a weapon on him. Forensic investigations are also being conducted in the area.
