Son of the Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil, Emmiril Khan Mumtadz, reported missing while swimming in Sungai Aare, Swisson Thursday (26/5).
The Indonesian Ambassador to Switzerland, Muliaman D Hadad, said that the SAR team and Swiss authorities were currently conducting a search.
“It’s true, currently being searched by the local police and SAR. Please pray for it,” Muliaman said when confirmed CNNIndonesia.com on Friday (27/5) morning.
Even so, Muliaman could not provide the exact chronology of the incident.
The family has confirmed this incident. Through a written statement, the family representative stated that the search was still ongoing.
“It is true that our brother’s first child, Ridwan Kamil, whose name is Emmeril Khan Mumtadz or commonly called Eril, experienced an accident in Bern, Switzerland on May 26, 2022 at noon Swiss time,” the family said in a written statement.
“We ask for prayers so that Eril (Emmiril’s greeting) can be found soon in a safe and good condition. He can reunite with his family in good health.”
