The spectators at the appointment ?

This is the question that everyone asks. The public will return there in mass after three months of lack or will come to-t-he on tiptoe, for fear of the virus ?

According to a study from Médiamétrie, the figures are intended rather optimistic : 18.7 million French people have the intention of going to the cinema over the next 4 weeks. Conducted online from 10 to 16 June at 1 538 internet users, aged 4 years and older, and is being made in rooms over the last twelve months, this survey shows an increase of 4 points compared to the previous one.

A week ago, 17 million French citizens were ready to return to the dark rooms.

What movies to see

Here, three categories : the films that you missed, those who will finally come out and those that are delivered to the taste of the day.

1. The films that you missed

A good portion of the films that will be available during the first week of “déconfinement” cinemas are in reality “coming out” : films shown before the black-out and the duration of which operating has been found to be insufficient in the light of the promises of the hearing.

We can mention, among others, “The good wife“, a French comedy by Martin Provost with Juliette Binoche, Yolande Moreau and Edouard Baer ; the horror film “Invisible Man“, Leigh Whannell and especially “De Gaulle“, biopic dedicated to the general, a few days after the appeal of 18 June.

2. The films that will finally come out

They were planned for the spring, but the health crisis has turned upside-down, and it is sometimes three months late that these films are finally going to reveal itself.

Among the most anticipated, the film that had controversy in the United States, “The Hunt“since he had attracted the ire of Donald Trump, and had been repulsed after a series of shootings in the country.

Also of note, “The Shadow of Stalin“of Agnieszka Holland and “The daughters of joy“, which follows the journey of three women (Sara Forestier, Noémie Lvovsky, Annabelle Lengronine) who go into prostitution in Belgium.

3. The old glories that bubble to the surface

Some cinemas have pulled out another secret weapon : give the taste of the day of the classic. Thus, the movie theaters out of cardboard boxes of cult movies like “Inception“and “Interstellar“Christopher Nolan, “Harry Potter and the sorcerer’s stone“or yet “Danish Girl“Tom Hooper.

Same strategy from the side of UGC, from Monday 22 June, “The The Land“, “Joker“, “Thanks be to God“, “Bohemian Rhapsody“or even the” palme d’or “Parasite“.

Between cult films and new releases, so you’ll have the choice.

Pathé Bellecour creates the event on Monday evening

Not wasting a second. This is the option of the cinema Pathé Bellecour, which organizes, in the night from Sunday 21 to Monday 22 June, 00h15, a session for the first time, to celebrate a reunion and new.

Two films are offered, according to your desires :

– “Lucky Strike“a thriller from south korea furious at the crossroads of genres. Scams, murders and betrayals will transport the audience into a thriller and entertaining. A film in the vein of the multi award-winning Parasite Bong Joon-Ho.

– “My cousin“the film of Jan Kounen played by Vincent Lindon and Francois Damiens, a duo of actors as unexpected as it is delightful. Endearing and exhilarating, this comedy will season the rooms thanks to his good mood.

In what health conditions ?

Don’t worry about it. Institutions are required to comply with a protocol issued by the federation nationale des cinemas français.

What will change : wearing a mask recommended before and after the meeting ; compliance with social distancing is 1 metre in the lobby, the corridors and room ; online reservations are strongly suggested.

Each cinema is committed to limit the rooms to 50% of their capacity. Many distributors of hydroalcoholic gel must be made available, the contact areas (boxes, terminals, counter top, TOILET) disinfected after each session and the air of the rooms renewed between each session.
