The Fourth Section of the Audiencia Provincial of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has ratified the condemnation of the payment of compensation to the family that lost their dog due to heat stroke in the cages of transport of the company naviera Armas. The death of the dog name Thiago, occurred during the voyage between Tenerife and La Gomera.
In the judgment now ratified, warns that despite the fact that the animal, purebred Bulldog, was not allowed to travel with their owners on the deck, despite presenting symptoms of heat stroke, was conducted by personnel from the ship to the transport crates located in the cellar without ventilation and without water.
When the ship docked in San Sebastián de La Gomera, Thiago had a body temperature of almost 44 degrees and went into shock from heat stroke what to the dessert caused the death.
