The pandemic is delaying the release of the seventh and eighth films in the “Mission Impossible” franchise with Tom Cruise, Reuters reported.

They will be released in 2023 and 2024, respectively, according to a press release from producers of Paramount Pictures and Skidens.

So far, “Mission Impossible 7” has been scheduled to debut in theaters in September 2022, and “Mission Impossible 8” will be released in July 2023.

The new dates for the premiere of the films in cinemas are July 14, 2023 and June 28, 2024, respectively.

Major movie theaters in the United States, such as AMC Entertainment and Cinemark Holdings Inc., are still looking for ways to recover from prolonged periods of closure during the pandemic.
