Tax evasion and ATMs
Clearly the government wants discourage cash in any case and that is why habits that were now acquired for citizens must somehow change.
First the ATM becomes a real special guard because thanks to the so-called super registry of current accounts, any movement of the citizen on current accounts, credit cards and debit cards is carefully monitored by the tax authorities. For too frequent or too little ATM withdrawals with respect to the standard of living of a family, they can easily take checks. In fact, the ATM is a real x-ray of what a family does from an economic point of view and if this should not be in line with what was declared in the tax return, there would be problems.
The fine of 30 euros
But the news of the executive concern above all payments in stores. In fact, starting from June, the way citizens pay when they shop or when they make any purchase changes completely. Until now, in fact, when you bought something in the store you could choose whether to pay by debit card, credit card or cash. Therefore there were no particular limitations or foreclosures regarding the payment. But from June things change completely because the customer will be absolutely free to choose if you want to pay by credit card, debit card or cash. If the shopkeeper refuses the cash, a € 30 fine will be imposed on him.
Proportional to the figure
Moreover, this figure will be increased in proportion to the size of the purchase. So if for a purchase worth € 10 you will pay a certain fine for a purchase worth € 300 you will pay a much higher fine. The traders’ associations are briskly protesting for this novelty because in such a moment stand for their category in which income shrinks day after day due to the difficulties of families a do the shopping, a further constraint and a further tax seem really out of place. Furthermore the modalities are not very clear either with which this fine can be applied. In fact, the customer should contact the police to make them run to the store and apply a fine.
