Earlier this week, rumors appeared on the network that the Finnish company HMD Global, which owns Nokia’s mobile division, is preparing a new budget smartphone that will feature support for fifth-generation networks. Now this information has been confirmed by the reputable Russian insider Nokia Anew.
Nokia Anew said in its Twitter account that the information that Nokia is preparing a 5G smartphone on the MediaTek processor is correct. An insider has published reliable information about Nokia products many times and often his predictions come true. It is assumed that this processor will be MediaTek Dimensity 800 or the recently announced MediaTek Dimensity 820, which shows the best performance in its class.
It is expected that this smartphone will be Nokia 7.3. Sales of another Nokia smartphone with support for 5G Nokia 8.3, which is estimated at 599 euros, will also start this year. At the same time, it was previously reported that Nokia 7.3 will run on a Snapdragon 765G processor, but this is unlikely, because the company never installs Snapdragon 700-series processors in its 7th line smartphones. Nokia 7.3 is supposed to get PureDisplay with FullHD + resolution. Its main camera will receive four sensors at 48 + 12 + 2 + 2 MP.
It is worth noting that Nokia does not work on the principle of Chinese manufacturers, setting the maximum technical specifications in inexpensive smartphones, so you should not expect any records from Nokia 7.3.
Also, at the end of the year, the announcement of Nokia 9.3 PureView is expected. He is credited with a 108 megapixel pentacamera and a top-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. According to rumors, he may be the first smartphone to receive a sub-screen front camera. However, the announcement of the smartphone has been delayed several times. Initially, his presentation was expected in February, and then in the middle of summer.
