Arrested and charged with attempted murder
Her friend immediately called for help. Two passers-by intervened and overpowered Angela Bonnell, one holding her against a door and the other disarming her. On his Instagram account, Yasmine Jackson also told her version of the facts: “I have been stabbed seven times at home because I am black. This woman chased me and started stabbing me. […] I can’t move my neck anymore. I’m afraid of being alone. I called for help because she stabbed me and no one intervened. Until someone does, and I thank them.“At least three witnesses present confirm the racist comments made by Angela Bonnell. The young woman was arrested and charged with attempted murder. Her bail has been set at $ 100,000 pending her judgment which is expected to take place on Tuesday 23 June 2020.
