No malicious intentions
When we think of jealousy, we quickly think of a negative person with perhaps malicious intentions, but that does not always have to be the case. For example, Mert says that he mainly internalizes his feelings. “I myself am the victim of my emotions. I don’t want to transfer that to other people.” For example, Mert would never tell anyone that he is jealous of their life. “It’s not like I respond on LinkedIn with: hey, congratulations on your position, why not me?”says Mert with a laugh.
Still, he makes sure to talk about his problems with someone he trusts. “If I’m struggling with something, I ask a good friend if I can share it with them. Sometimes that helps.”
