The School of Medicine of Universidad Xochicalco received official recognition from the Medical Board of California, a distinction that validates the professional title of graduates of the Bachelor of Medicine from Universidad Xochicalco to practice in the State of California. The director of the Faculty of Medicine on the Mexicali campus, José Morales Bustamante, indicated that in order to achieve this recognition, the Faculty authorities had to make a prior application for a background check by the North American entity, a Council that later informed Xochicalco University that the Bachelor of Medicine of its three campuses meets the necessary criteria for its graduates to be eligible to apply to a medical specialization program at any institution in the State of California. To do this, students are required to first take the United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), which is sponsored by the Federation of State Medical Boards and the National Board of Medical Examiners. Once the results have been obtained and when they graduate from the career, they can do a specialty, or work or practice in the neighboring State of the American Union. Morales Bustamante highlighted that this achievement is in addition to the national and international accreditations obtained by the Faculty of Medicine from the Mexican Council for the Accreditation of Medical Education (COMAEM), with which the Faculty of Medicine maintains its status as the most representative in the Northwest of Mexico. Xochicalco University continues to raise the level of its programs and study plans of its different degrees, as well as its academic processes to provide its students with the best professional academic training, as well as a wide range of possibilities so that they can continue preparing or practicing al highest level at home or abroad.
