Malaysia out of the top 5, Indonesia survives

KOMPAS.com – Malaysian Contingent out of the top five medal standings SEA Games 2021 when Indonesia managed to survive.

Malaysia has been knocked out of the top five SEA Games standings 2021 after only being able to add three gold medals on Monday (16/5/2022).

On the same day, Indonesian contingent won four gold medals from shooting sports, MTB cycling and artistic gymnastics.

An additional gold medal from the fishing sport was donated by Dewi Laila Mubarokah who took part in the women’s 10 meter Air Rifle.

In addition, the shooting team managed to donate another gold medal through the struggle of Totok Tri Martanto, Dewa Putu Yadi Suteja and Anang Yulianto in the 25 meter Rapid Fire Pistol.

Furthermore, the gold medal from MTB bicycle racing was born thanks to the struggle of Zaenal Fanani who took part in the men’s cross country number.

One additional gold from artistic gymnastics was donated by Rifda Irfanaluthfi.

Rifda Irfanaluthfi, who previously won a gold medal in the all around number, is now again picking the highest achievement in the women’s floor gymnastics number.

The additional four gold medals made Indonesia stay in the top five 2021 SEA Games standings Vietnam.

Currently, Indonesia is ranked fifth in the standings 2021 SEA Games medals with a collection of 23 gold, 36 silver and 30 bronze.

Indonesia won four gold medals over Malaysia which is currently in sixth place.

Competition in the top five SEA Games medal standings 2021 was enlivened by Singapore which skyrocketed thanks to an additional nine gold on Monday (16/5/2022).

The additional nine gold medals made Singapore, which was previously ranked sixth, up to fourth.

Singapore is ranked fourth with a collection of 24 gold, 25 silver and 30 bronze. They are close to the top three competition inhabited by the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

The Philippines is in third place thanks to a score of 30 gold, 34 silver and 44 bronze.

Meanwhile, Thailand is in second place with a total of 127 medals.

Thailand’s medal breakdown is 36 gold, 38 silver and 53 bronze.

Thailand still lags far behind Vietnam which continues to lead 2021 SEA Games medal standings.

Currently, Vietnam as the host of the event has penetrated 197 medals with details of 88 gold, 54 silver and 55 bronze.
