A 26-year-old biker who committed multiple offenses against the law on road traffic was sentenced on Tuesday to four years and eleven months in prison by the cantonal court of Lucerne. The list of his crimes fills an A4 page.

In 2014, 2015 and 2017, the accused committed speeding, dangerous overtaking and drove on the opposite lane in blind spots. He also drove without a license and without insurance. He cheated on the license plates and did not follow the police instructions regarding the maintenance of his motorcycle.

He was also convicted of failing to comply with the ban on making fires during the summer of 2018 in Eigenthal (LU). The man had lit a grill. After long discussions with the police, he finally turned off the grill, but he insulted the officers and also threw a lighted cigarette in a field, according to the indictment.

The court sentenced him to four years and eleven months in prison, partly in addition to a sentence dating from 2015. The defendant also received a 20-day fine of 130 francs (2,600 francs) and a fine of 800 francs. The costs of the procedure, at his expense, amount to almost 27,000 francs.

The prosecutor had requested 42 months in prison. The judgment has not yet entered into force. (Ps / nxp)
