Lizio. A festival of craftsmen relaunched but in a lighter version

After two years without a Festival due to health restrictions, the members of the Committee of
Fêtes de Lizio have decided to relaunch the Festival des Artisans d’Art this summer. But this 2022 edition will not quite reconnect with the traditional version. It will be lightened but will still have the merit of existing…

In a letter, Jean Claude Gabillet, the president of the festival committee, specifies the conditions under which this festival will take place and the modifications made to its organization:

“The 47th edition of the Festival des Artisans d’Art will therefore take place on Sunday August 14, 2022 in Lizio.
However, as a precaution and for organizational matters, this 2022 edition will be different:

-First of all, by its magnitude. We are going to reduce the number of exhibitors and group the places
exhibition center around the town centre;

-Then, the festival will be open to the public from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. (instead of 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.);

-Also, by the abandonment of the Model Show for this edition;

-Finally, for this year, the entrance will be free for the public.
However, the spirit of the Festival des Artisans d’Art de Lizio remains the same: the promotion of
arts and crafts by allowing craftsmen, artists and creators to show their know-how to the public.
In terms of entertainment, a large place will always be reserved for Breton culture and folklore. As in the past, two stages will be in place in the village where, in the afternoon, Celtic circles and Breton musicians will perform. The day will end with a free fest-noz in the town centre.
As far as catering is concerned, the Festival only opening at 1 p.m. for this 2022 edition, the midday meal is cancelled. On the other hand, the traditional evening shank and fries will take place from 7 p.m. in the marquee. »
