Under the leadership of Professor Johan Neyts, researchers from the Leuven Rega Institute have developed a candidate vaccine that protects hamsters against the corona virus. After the rodents, it is now up to us. Rega hopes to start testing on humans in December, thus settling on the trail of absolute toppers such as Oxford and Moderna.
