The newspaper reported earlier this week that The tax authorities had taken a mortgage on Kygo’s giant villa and sued the artist for NOK 15 million. Kygo’s spokesman told the newspaper that the case is a “misunderstanding and oblivion”.

According to the newspaper, the Tax Administration believed that the renowned artist had not paid what he owed in taxes. Therefore, the agency demanded more than NOK 15 million from Gørvell-Dahll for the unpaid tax claim. In addition, the Tax Administration took a mortgage on the artist’s villa on Hopsneset by Paradis in Bergen.

Gørvell-Dahll’s stepfather and spokesman Jan Magnus Bjordal stated earlier this week that the demand was due to «a misunderstanding and forgetfulness on our part».

Now the tax dispute must be resolved.
