Actor John Travolta reported on the death of his wife on social networks.

“I have to tell you with a very heavy heart that my beautiful wife Kelly lost her two-year battle with breast cancer,” Travolta wrote on Instagram. “She fought bravely, with the love and support of so many people.”

The Hollywood couple met in 1987, married four years later in Paris. They had three children together, but lost their son Jett in 2009. The boy suffered from autism and hit one of the seizures in the head. He succumbed to his injuries, he was sixteen years old.

Preston, a native of Honolulu, won many roles in front of the camera. In the first one, in the film Ten to Midnight, she appeared alongside the famous Charles Bronson. She was catapulted to world acquaintance by the comedy Twins, where she seconded the tandem of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny De Vito. You can remember it, for example, from a film about sports agent Jerry Maguire, played by Tom Cruise. Or from the Game of Dreams, where she was Kevin Costner’s partner.

After her marriage to Travolta, she accepted rather minor roles and devoted herself to her family. She and her husband starred together in the science fiction film Battlefield Earth in 2000, but it was a box office failure. They repeated their collaboration in front of the cameras two years ago as husband and wife John and Victoria Gotti in the film Gotti.

On Instagram, Travolta asked for privacy for himself and his children. Elle is 20 years old, Benjamin 9. “I want to be here for my children who have lost their mother. So forgive me in advance if you don’t hear about us for a while, “he wrote with that.

Jerry Maguire would not have been the movie it was without Kelly Preston making that small role have major impact, and I love her so much in What a Girl Wants. She’s gone far too soon. pic.twitter.com/9SvwM0Hblj
