People close to the President of the Russian Federation noted that he was furious when he learned that Kabaeva was expecting a child again, because he no longer planned children. On the page “General of the SVR” on Instagram on May 3 published the message that the news of Kabaeva’s pregnancy came as a surprise to Putin.
“Yesterday, Putin learned that his long-term cohabitant and mother of his children, Alina Kabaeva, is pregnant for another, or rather, apparently, for an extraordinary time.
The report noted that Putin looked “depressed and aloof.”
Russian and Western tabloids reported that Putin has a personal relationship with Russian gymnast Alina Kabaeva. In 2016 Page Six wrote that Kabaeva has sons from Putin. Neither Putin nor Kabaeva made any official statements on this matter. Putin announced his divorce from his wife in 2013.
On March 6, 2022, the American tabloid Page Six wrote that Kabaeva likely hiding with her four children from Putin in Switzerland. Swiss newspaper SonntagsZeitung May 1, 2022 wrote that Kabaeva has two children from Putin.
