Hong Kong investors take the helm at record champions GC. Managing Director Fredy Bickel has to leave the club immediately after only six months of activity. In a text message that is available to the Teleclub editorial team, he says goodbye to the record champion.

The adoption in the wording:

«A change of ownership usually also means a reorientation at the management level. As much as such decisions can hurt, they have to be accepted. I also do this and wish the Grasshopper Club only the best, good luck and success for the future.

I will vacate my job for my successors and hand over my tasks.

I leave the office with my head held high. I know that I have given everything for my club in the past few months. I would like to thank my employees on campus for loyally and with great dedication that they took a difficult journey with me in between. I thank Dr. Andràs Gurovits for the trusting, friendly and professional cooperation and the former owners, Stephan Anliker and Dr. Peter Stüber, for the trust that you have placed in me and your years of unbelievably great commitment to GC.

In the past few months we have all been able to gain goodwill again, set up a functioning company organization, get finances under control and fall short of the expected minus by a seven-figure amount compared to the budget.

I hand over a complementary, motivated and good coaching crew and a team that has been welded together over the past few weeks, strengthened internally and with great will and a lot of character! I believe in the strength of this team and continue to believe in our common, big goal: promotion to the Super League!

Unfortunately, because of the corona crisis, I cannot say goodbye personally to all companions. I am grateful to everyone in and around the club for spending time together, which was a lot of fun and joy for me. I wish the GC family good health, positive emotions – and especially the trust of my successors!

Je regrette rien!
