Córdoba, Ver.- During the month of April, the Veracruz – South delegation of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) managed to apply more than 30 thousand vaccines against Covid-19 through its intensive vaccination campaign.
Dr. Baldomero Vargas Brito, coordinator of Public Health explained that these doses were applied to beneficiaries and the general public who approached the different IMSS clinics and hospitals distributed in the south of the entity.
“We were applying the vaccine in several of the Family Medicine Units (FMU), we also went out to the streets with mobile vaccination posts, we went to vaccinate some companies affiliated with the IMSS and the strategy worked very well for us,” he says.
Likewise, it highlights that at the national level the intensive vaccination campaign managed to apply more than 2.25 million vaccines against Covid-19 thanks to distribution logistics that guaranteed the vaccine to all rights holders.
It points out that the population that needed the vaccine received the corresponding dose in medical units, hospitals, rural areas, theaters, courts, schools, universities, kiosks, hotels, airports, companies, shopping malls.
