Hybrid LADA 4×4 and Suzuki Jimny shown

Two legends merged into one.

Everyone knows that Suzuki Jimny for the Japanese is like a Niva for Russians. The iconic Japanese SUV is available from 1968 to the present day. This car was originally an open key car with only three seats. Under his hood, an engine with an air capacity of 25 horsepower was placed.

After restyling in 1972, the Jimnik became a four-seater and received a 33-horsepower engine. The export version of the car got on the conveyor in 1977, and it was equipped with a 41-horsepower unit.

The current generation Suzuki Jimny is officially sold in Russia at a price of 1,489,000 rubles. The SUV is offered with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine and 102 hp. at 130 Nm. A couple of him is a 5-speed “mechanics” or a 4-speed “automatic”.

The domestic Niva, aka the VAZ-2121, got on the conveyor in 1977 and is currently produced under the name LADA 4×4. A car can be purchased at a price of 503,910 rubles for a three-door version and from 542,610 rubles for a five-door version.

Independent designers decided to imagine what would happen if the Japanese and Russian Niva were combined. Artists depicted their vision as a render of the hybrid LADA 4×4 and Suzuki Jimny. It is worth recognizing that the car looks unusual, but attractive.

The basis of the render was the third-generation Suzuki Jimny body, and received the front of the car from Niva. According to the author’s idea, under the hood of such an SUV was the engine from Jimny 1998 – a 1.3-liter G13BB I4 with a capacity of 80 “horses”.

If such a Russian-Japanese “Niva” existed in reality, it would be built on a frame. With cross-country ability, an SUV would be more than okay. Hybrid Suzuki Jimny and LADA 4×4 would be a unique car, because these are not only two great SUVs, but also two iconic legends.
