Huawei launches True Wireless Stereo (TWS) is the latest Huawei FreeBuds SE. The sound is soft with a cool and functional design.
How does it feel to use this TWS? detikINET has also tried it for some time. Here is the full review.
Design
In appearance Huawei FreeBuds SE looks minimalist and modern. It is available in 2 color options, namely light blue and white. The unit that detikINET accepts is white. Inside the box there is a charging cable with USB Type-C and spare silicone ear tips.
The casing of this TWS container is oval in shape, measuring 70 x 35.5 x 27.5 mm. It weighs 35 grams. So small and light to hold or put in a bag or trouser pocket. The Huawei FreeBuds SE has an IP54 certification so it is waterproof.
On the front side there are LED lights for usage and charging indicators. At the top there is a silver Huawei writing. Sturdy open lid design. Then, behind it is a USB Type-C port for charging.
Switching to the earbuds, the Huawei FreeBuds SE measures 38.1 x 20.7 x 20.5 mm and weighs only 4.7 grams. The shape of the earbuds is quite innovative with a semi-in-ear design.
That is, these earbuds fit more into the ear canal assisted by a soft silicone rubber. When worn, it feels stable and comfortable. The earbuds do not fall when the head is shaken by detikINET.

Connection
Connect Huawei FreeBuds SE is very easy. Bluetooth 5.2 makes it easy to connect with a smartphone or laptop.
When it is connected, it will immediately play audio from the main device, whether it’s a music application, video or game being played.
The transmission distance is quite strong. detikINET tried from a distance of 20 meters and the sound remained stable. Even in conditions blocked by walls or different rooms, sound can still be transmitted. detikINET tried on different floor conditions at home, then the audio was a bit disturbed.
There is a G-sensor for the double tap function. Double-tap the TWS to pause and play music, or accept and hang up.
