The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed with a loss on the New York stock exchange for the eighth week in a row. This is a historic loss series. The last time the leading indicator closed with a loss for such a long period in a row was barely a hundred years ago. Investors seem particularly concerned about high inflation. Agricultural machinery manufacturer Deere also noticed that Friday in New York was one of the bigger losers.
