Heats Up With Azerbaijan, Karabakh and Armenia Announce Military Rallies Page all

YEREVAN, KOMPAS.com – Presumed governance Azerbaijan as a rebel on Nagorny Karabakh declared an emergency military and total military mobilization.

The announcement was made by President Karabakh Araik Harutyunyan at an emergency parliamentary session in the resistance enclave of Stepanakert, Sunday (27/9/2020).

“I announced martial law and the mobilization of all those who are responsible for military service and are over 18 years of age, “said Harutyunyan as quoted from AFP.

Harutyunyan made the announcement after battle between Azerbaijan and Armenia broke so as to kill a child and a girl.

Elsewhere, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told his people to get ready to defend their homeland.

“Prepare to defend our holy homeland,” said Pashinyan on Facebook.

The Armenian government will consider “partial mobilization” of the reserve forces and apply for martial law.

Meanwhile, Russia on Sunday called for an immediate ceasefire and the start of talks after the fighting.

“We call on the parties to immediately stop firing and start talks to stabilize the situation,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

Reported Kompas.com Previously, Armenia said that Azerbaijan started the conflict by attacking settlements in Nagorny Karabakh, including Stepanakert.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan stated that they were holding back the Armenian military efforts by deploying tanks up to drone combat.

“There are reports of deaths and injuries among civilians and the military,” said Azerbaijan Presidential spokesman Hikmet Hajiyev.

Ombdusman Karabakh Artak Beglaryan said there were civilians killed in the fighting that took place between the two camps.

Separately, the Armenian Ministry of Defense Spokesman said that children and women were killed.

The worst friction since 2016 has the potential to spawn again war large-scale between these two arch enemies, linked to the capture of Nagorny Karabakh.
