Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Fattah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Preventive Affairs, said that Egypt managed the crisis of the Coronavirus with a high professionalism and professionalism at all levels and that the citizen has to bear the burdens on him after the state performs its burdens.
Abdel-Fattah added, during a phone call to the program “On My Responsibility” broadcast on “Echo Al-Balad” channel on Sunday, that simple cases infected with corona have to be isolated at home to allocate isolation hospitals for medium and serious cases, pointing out that more than 85% of people with corona can Home treatment.
He pointed out that it is necessary not to go to hospitals during this period except for medical necessity to avoid infection and to adhere to isolation at home for cases with simple Coronavirus with health follow-up on the part of doctors, pointing out that home treatment is effective and that all the simple cases that recommended domestic isolation have been cured.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Preventive Affairs continued that the increase in the number of people infected with corona during the recent period came due to the lack of commitment of the citizens to the measures of social separation, stressing the importance of adhering to the precautionary measures, washing hands with soap and water and using alcohol to prevent the virus and reduce infections.
Today, Sunday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 344 people infected with the Corona virus have been discharged from isolation and quarantine hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, bringing the total number of people recovering from the virus to 6037 cases until today.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and the official spokesperson of the ministry, said that the number of cases whose laboratory results have been converted from positive to negative for Corona virus (Covid-19) increased to 6,810 cases, including the 6,037 recovered.
He added that 1536 new cases were proven positive for laboratory analysis of the virus, as part of the ministry’s surveillance and investigation procedures according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to the death of 46 new cases.
