Gen. Mutafchiiski set Bulgaria on fire with these words!

The director of the Military Medical Academy, Gen. Major Ventsislav Mutafchiiski wrote very strong words on the occasion of May 24 – Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, the Bulgarian alphabet, education and culture and Slavic literature.

Check out the former NIGHT boss’s Facebook post:

Forward! Science is the sun,
which in the souls gray!
Forward! Nationality does not fall
where knowledge lives! … “

On May 24 we celebrate the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, the Bulgarian alphabet, education and culture and Slavic literature.

May 24 is a day of pride and adoration for our educators. A day in which we pay a well-deserved tribute to the pursuit of improvement through the achievements of science and culture.

Following the traditions and with the inspiration of our ancestors, in its 130-year history the Military Medical Academy has managed to maintain its striving for continuous improvement, becoming a benchmark for all other medical institutions.

We believe in science! For us, knowledge and science are the values that determine our strength and our future development. I thank all my fellow teachers for their high professionalism and dedication, which they invest in strengthening the authority of the Bulgarian medical education.

Colleagues, thank you for your strength and energy during the COVID pandemic, which put the whole world to the test, but we took it as an opportunity to prove our leadership once again. Despite these challenges, we continued to do science, opening new horizons for the development of teaching and research activities at the Academy and the Bulgarian military medicine!

On this holiday I congratulate our cadets, our future! Be still diligent and motivated, be worthy successors of our first teachers!

Happy holiday!
Be healthy and successful!

Major General Prof. Dr. Ventsislav Mutafchiyski, MD, FACS
Head of the Military Medical Academy
