From Eindhoven Airport to the Aldi in Groenlo, farmers took action again

As in recent days, the farmers protested, among other things, against the animal feed policy of Minister Carola Schouten. Last night they blocked the A7 and took action at the junction near Heerenveen, Rijkswaterstaat reported.

According to a spokesman, the action went quietly until late in the evening.

Blocked

There were also several dozen tractors at Eindhoven Airport. They blocked the access roads there. The Constabulary was soon on the height of the action, writes the Eindhovens Dagblad, and blocked the access road. The police were also present later.

In the evening there were still flights from Lisbon, Rhodes and Barcelona. Although traffic jams occurred, travelers were still able to reach the airport. The farmers left after midnight.

Distribution centers were also targeted

Farmers also campaigned at various distribution centers. For example, about two hundred farmers with their tractors and other agricultural vehicles stood at the Aldi distribution center in Groenlo in Gelderland. The Coop in Gieten was also the target of the actions. There they blocked the main entrance with their tractors.

Earlier in the day, a group of North Holland farmers blocked the entrance gate of the Albert Heijn distribution center in Zaandam for hours.

The farmers demanded that supermarkets pay a fair price for agricultural products.
