Ramadan Sobhi, the Huddersfield English Pavilion, loaned to Al-Ahly, has decided to take another attempt at European professionalism after his loan period to Al-Ahmar ends at the end of the current season.
But, as FilGoal.com knows, it’s not that easy.
On the offer side, FilGoal.com knew that Sobhi has offers from several European countries, especially from Italy, France and England, so he will not find a hitch in that regard.
But the obstacle that Ramadan may face is the lack of clarity of vision regarding global football activity, whether in Egypt or in Europe, as well as the failure of the International Football Association (FIFA) until now to make a crucial decision regarding the secondments that will end in next June, in light of the contests being stopped for fear of Corona Virus Outbreak.
FIFA is currently discussing the position of secondments that will end at the end of the football season, and whether or not it will continue until its pre-announced date before the competitions are stopped at the beginning of June, or continue until the date of the actual end of the football season.
Ramadan, as FilGoal.com knows, has no objection to ending the season with Al-Ahly, whatever its end date, whether it comes from FIFA, or by agreement between Al-Ahly and Huddersfield.
However, what about Al-Ahly’s position?
FilGoal.com contacted an official source inside the club, who said: “Until now, we have not made a decision regarding negotiations to permanently annex Ramadan Sobhi or extend the loan.”
“The matter is being studied, and we will make our decision in due course,” he said.
Subhi joined Al-Ahly in January for a season and a half, and in the current season he scored 5 goals in 9 games before he was hit by a long injury that kept him out of matches.
And before he was injured, Sobhi led the Egyptian Olympic team to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics, which was postponed for the next year, by winning the African Nations Cup under 23.
