As part of the last U23 game of the 2021/22 season against FC Memmingen, FC Augsburg officially said goodbye to coach Sepp Steinberger and eight players.

At the end of the current season, U23 coach Sepp Steinberger played his last game on the Fuggerstadt sideline after three and a half years with FCA on Saturday. “We would like to thank Sepp Steinberger for his commitment and the excellent work he has done at FC Augsburg in recent years. This also includes the fact that our team is going into its eleventh regional league season and some former talents have now gained a foothold in professional football. We wish him all the best for his professional and personal future,” says Claus Schromm, head coach for youngsters.

In addition, Felix Schwarzholz, Dominic Schmidt, Adrien Koudelka, Alessandro Di Rosa, Yannick Oberleitner, Benedikt Lobenhofer, Marco Nickel and Christian Köppel ended their time as red-green-white players on Saturday. “We would also like to say a big thank you to all the players for their commitment in the U23s and in some of our many other youth teams. We hope that you all look back on a nice time together with and with us. We wish the boys every success in their future sporting careers, freedom from injuries, lots of fun playing football and only the best for their personal future,” concludes Roy Stapelfeld, commercial director of the NLZ, expressing his thanks.
