RB Leipzig had a good home game, but couldn’t reward themselves against Eintracht Frankfurt (0-0). In addition to bad luck with aluminum, this was due to Kevin Trapp.
Not his only strong act: Kevin Trapp (left) saves against Konrad Laimer.

Even when it was 6-1 in Fürth, the best second-round team in the Bundesliga needed a while to be up to par – that’s how RB felt in the home game against SGE. In an initial phase that was very controlled by both sides, the Saxons were still the more active team with Kampl and Olmo instead of Haidara and Forsberg (both on the bench). Nkunku presented himself too sleepy when he had a good chance to shoot (10th).
First Hinteregger saves, then Alu twice
Three days after progressing in the Europa League against Real Betis, Eintracht had to wait a while for their first degree. Instead, she had her hands full defensively with Rode as a Sow replacement (yellow card suspension). Hinteregger cleared a Silva header off the line (22′), and a little later Trapp deflected a long-range shot from Simakan onto the post (26′).
