Goalkeeper Edu is a last-minute drop in the Seleção and was replaced by Bebé.

The Portuguese Football Federation announced this Friday that Edu tested positive for covid-19 and was replaced by Bebé in the call-up for the 2022 European Futsal Championship, which takes place between January 19 and February 6, in the Netherlands.

The goalkeeper of Viña Albali Valdepeñas tests positive again before a big competition – the 2021 World Cup failed – and advances the goalkeeper of Leões Porto Salvo, holder in the Portuguese nets during the World Cup won by Portugal.

The FPF also informs that André Coelho is also infected with covid-19 and “joins the entourage later”.

The updated roster:

Goalkeepers: André Sousa (Benfica) and Bebé (Leões Porto Salvo);

Fixed: André Coelho (Barcelona), João Matos (Sporting) and Tomás Paçó (Sporting);

Fixed / Wing: Afonso Jesus (Benfica);

Wings: Bruno Coelho (Naples), Miguel Ângelo (Sporting), Pany (Sporting), Pauleta (Sporting) and Tiago Brito (Braga/AAUM);

Wing/Pivot: Fábio Cecílio (Braga/AAUM);

Universal: Eric (Sporting);

Pivot: Zicky (Sporting).
