The premises were closed and the manager fined.
Checks are continuing to enforce federal containment measures to contain the coronavirus epidemic. While citizens generally abide by the rules in order to complete them as quickly as possible, others continue to turn a deaf ear, endangering their own health and that of others.
On the Dour side, the mayor Carlo Di Antonio thus had to close a commercial establishment which had installed an underground cafe in a back room. The manager of the establishment had however been warned a few days earlier. The premises are now closed and the individual’s wallet will be reduced by some 750 euros in fines.
An amount which, it is hoped, will finally make this unconscious trader think and may dissuade other citizens from attempting this experiment, as dangerous as it is stupid.
