The district government said the man was not abused, but was arrested for running away while undergoing self-isolation (Isoman).

“Not for violence, only for security. I see the village community is also very concerned about Mr Selamat Sianipar,” said Toba Regent, Poltak Sitorus, (Saturday 24/7/2021).

Poltak said this after his party had met the family of Selamat to get information related to this. Poltak said the Toba Regency government had brought Selamat to the hospital for treatment.

“We have placed him in the Porsea Hospital,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Pardomuan Village, Toba, Timbang Sianipar, said that his party was conducting self-isolation for the victim named Selamat Sianipar at a location that had been approved by the family. The need for survivors during isolation has also been fulfilled by the village government.

“1 sack of rice, 1 egg, 2 cans of dencis, salt, cooking oil, bath soap, we have prepared for you Happy Sianipar,” said the Pardomuan village head.

Even though he has been placed in a location far from his home, Selamat is called back to his home. The village party who knew about this then went to the location of Selamat’s house.

“Back to his parents’ house again, so I immediately went to Selamat Sianipar’s brother’s house,” he explained.

“My son wants to be hugged, ‘I don’t want to, sir’. We ran. So what did the residents do, we ran downstairs,” said Risma.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Police, Kombes Hadi Wahyudi, who came to the location, also said that this incident occurred only because the residents wanted to protect Selamat who fled during isoman. The residents secured Selamat who was constantly chasing to hug the residents.
