DFB-Pokal: games of the 2nd round terminated

The DFB has timed the 2nd round in the DFB Cup. From the Ruhr area, Schalke 04, BVB, VfL Bochum and Rot-Weiss Essen are still in the competition.

So far it was clear: the 2nd round in DFB-Pokal will be held on December 22nd and 23rd, 2020. Now the DFB has scheduled the 16 games precisely. Two of the encounters will again be broadcast on free TV. Sport1 has chosen the BVB– Meeting at Eintracht Braunschweig decided – on December 22nd at 8 p.m. The ARD will show the Bavarians who have to compete at Holstein Kiel (Wednesday, January 13th, 8:45 pm). – Red and white food will be his home game against the second division team Fortuna Dusseldorf also unsubscribe one day before Christmas Eve. Kick-off in the Essen stadium is at 6:30 p.m. The VfL Bochum must travel to FSV Mainz. The game at the bottom of the Bundesliga will kick off on December 23 at 8:45 p.m. Schalke 04 will compete against SSV Ulm on December 22nd – kick-off is here at 6:30 p.m. It has not yet been determined whether the game will take place in Ulm or Gelsenkirchen. –

Bayern, who should actually have played on December 23, had submitted a corresponding application to the DFB with a view to controlling the load on the players and the large number of games in the second half of 2020. In close coordination with both clubs and the broadcasting TV stations, this request was approved by the DFB.

The Pay TV broadcaster Sky will broadcast all 16 matches live.
