The DFB has timed the 2nd round in the DFB Cup. From the Ruhr area, Schalke 04, BVB, VfL Bochum and Rot-Weiss Essen are still in the competition.
Bayern, who should actually have played on December 23, had submitted a corresponding application to the DFB with a view to controlling the load on the players and the large number of games in the second half of 2020. In close coordination with both clubs and the broadcasting TV stations, this request was approved by the DFB.
The Pay TV broadcaster Sky will broadcast all 16 matches live.
