The government has asked for the vote of confidence for the ‘Cura Italia’ decree now under consideration by the Senate. This was announced by the Minister for Relations with Parliament Federico D’Incà in the House of Palazzo Madama. The group of Autonomies in the Senate has assured the favorable vote, while Lega, FI and FdI confirm the no to the measure.
“Cura Italia, which the Senate will approve today, is only the first of many decrees ordered by the Government to manage the economic emergency. Parliament’s room for maneuver on the 25 billion of the decree was objectively difficult to predict. For this reason, I am satisfied with the behavior of the oppositions, they vote against the measure, but they have not resorted to obstructionism. “. At the beginning of the session, the Minister for Relations with Parliament had asked for a two-hour postponement until 11.30 of the examination of the Italian Curative Decree, on which he is about to put his trust, due to a “delay in the stamping of the text”. However, all the groups, to facilitate the return to the home of the senators in relation to the difficulties of traveling in Italy due to the coronavirus emergency, have exceptionally agreed to start the examination of the measure also pending the arrival of the stamped text which, guaranteed D’Incà, “entirely follows that approved by the commission without prejudice to the elimination of some rules that are in the school and liquidity dl”.
The Cura Italia decree compensates only 30% of the losses suffered by self-employed workers due to the lockdown and has greater effects in the South in relation to GDP (1.4% against 1.2% in the Center-North), while in per capita terms it is concentrated more in the Center-North (372 euro per capita compared to 251 in the South).
