António Costa considered that the evaluation of the set of measures of the deflation “is positive for most of the country”, but recognizes that there is “cause for concern” in relation to Lisbon.

Despite the situation in Lisbon, António Costa signaled that the growth of the pandemic “is essentially stabilized” and “significantly removed from what was the risk of exponential growth that was expected at the beginning of this crisis”.

On Saturday, at the press conference, the Minister of Health pointed out that the pressure from Covid-19 on the internment of the NHS continues to fall. There are 514 patients admitted to the NHS (13 fewer than yesterday), 63 of whom are in intensive care units (minus three).

Regarding the evolution of RT, that is, the average transmission of the disease to others over time, the most recent data point to values ​​of 1.02 between 23 and 27 May. At the regional level, in the north the RT is 0.93, in the Center it is 0.98 and in Lisbon and Vale do Tejo it is 1.5.

In general there is a decreasing trend across the country with the exception of Lisbon, there is growth of new cases in the Metropolitan Area, with emphasis on the municipalities of Amadora, Lisbon, Loures, Odivelas and Sintra.
