The district of Kelheim provides information about the current Corona situation. According to the Kelheim Health Department, a total of 454 positive cases have occurred in the district so far – this means no change from the previous day. 34 people died from the disease.

The good news of the day: 417 people (no change from the previous day) have been released from home quarantine since the first case became known in the district of Kelheim on March 9, 2020 and are therefore considered to have recovered. That is, approx. 92% of those previously infected are already healthy again!
According to the currently valid specifications, all inpatients of the Goldberg-Klinik Kelheim GmbH are tested for the SarsCov2 virus before or when entering the clinic. If there are suspicious symptoms of Covid-19, treatment is carried out in a special isolation station at least until the test result is available.
In Ilmtalklinik GmbH, Mainburg Hospital, all inpatients planned for the SarsCov2 virus are tested before they are admitted. In addition, all inpatients are subjected to a health check and if there are suspicious symptoms, they are tested and treated in a special isolation unit until a negative test is available.
The district office in Kelheim points out that, according to the health office, there is currently no significant increase in the number of cases in the district of Kelheim, ie the number of infected people is not significantly different in any of the municipalities in the district of Kelheim.

Citizen phone and new central email address for questions about Corona from June 8th, 2020
The district office in Kelheim points out that a new, central email address on the subject of “Corona” has been set up since Monday, June 8th, 2020. The functional email address is: [email protected]. Please direct all questions relating to the “Corona” topic to this email address.
The district office in Kelheim also announces that the public telephone of the district office is still open from Monday to Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 noon on 09441 207 3112.
The district office also points out that the Bavarian government has set up a corona hotline. The telephone number 089-122 220 can be reached daily, also on weekends, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
