Chronology of the Disappearance of Doctor Faisal until he was found with a woman at the Yard Inn all

KOMPAS.com – The presence of Faisal Kanang (42), a doctor at Mokopido Hospital, Kabupaten TolitoliCentral Sulawesi, which was reported missing for 20 days, finally found a bright spot.

After missing since last Friday, May 6, 2022, dr. Faisal was found safe on Thursday, May 26, 2022.

Reported Kompas.com (26/5/2022), dr. Faisal was arrested by members of the Paleleh Sector Police (Polsek) on Thursday (26/5/2022) at around 16.30 WITA at the 42 Paleleh Inn, Buol Regency.

Not alone, the police found dr. Faisal was with a woman named Husniati Subaer.

Disappeared after distributing aid

Tolitoli Police Chief AKBP Ridwan Raja Dewa explained, Faisal disappeared in the middle of the road after distributing aid in the context of Eid al-Fitr 2022, Friday (6/5/2022), at 23.00 WITA.

He distributed funds of IDR 500,000 for each family of flood survivors in Lingadan Village, Dakopamean District, Tolitoli Regency, Central Sulawesi.

After distributing aid in Lingadan Village, Faisal headed to Kapas Village to distribute similar aid.

However, on his way to Kapas Village which is not far from Lingadan Village, Faisal was reported missing.

As reported Kompas.com, (9/5/2022), a number of witnesses saw a motorcycle belonging to dr. Faisal, in a lit state, is on the edge of a ravine on the Poros Tolitoli-Buol Road in Mamunu Hamlet, Lingadan Village.

The location of the motorbike is about 30 km from Tolitoli City, where Faisal lives.

Apart from a motorcycle, the police also found a number of other items, including a black sling bag (without money), and a pair of sandals.

There are also two vaccine cards in the name of Faisal and his wife, Cyntia Kornelius, a business card for the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) in Faisal’s name, a jacket and a red helmet.

The total aid money is more than Rp. 26 million

Faisal’s cousin, Ulong Maha (43) said that a black sling bag was found 5 or 6 km from the motorbike.

However, no money was found in the bag and only the identity of Dr. Faisal.

According to Ulong, dr. Faisal brought a total of more than IDR 26 million to be distributed to victims of flash floods in two affected villages, namely Kapas Village and Lingadan Village.

“My cousin went alone with the aid,” said Ulong, when contacted Kompas.com, Monday (9/5/2022).

Engaging sniffer dogs

Speeding up the search for Dr. Faisal, the Central Sulawesi Regional Police (Polda Sulteng) deployed a sniffer dog to assist the Tolitoli Police.

This sniffer dog was brought to the location where the motorbike and belongings were found Doctor Faisalsince Wednesday (11/5/2022).

“For the search for Dr. Faisal, the Central Sulawesi Regional Police involved a sniffer dog who is part of the K9 Unit of the Central Sulawesi Regional Police’s Ditsamapta,” said Head of Public Relations of the Central Sulawesi Police, Kombes Pol. Didik Supranoto, quoted from Kompas.comThursday (12/5/2022).

Police examine 15 witnesses

On the 8th day of the search, on Saturday (14/5/2022), the Tolitoli Police, Central Sulawesi, examined 15 witnesses, including Dr. Faisal’s wife.

A number of residents of Lingadan Village and Kapas Village were also investigated, as reported Kompas.com (14/5/2022).

Head of Public Relations of the Tolitoli Police, AKP Anshari Tolah, said that his party had also conducted a crime scene (TKP) at the location where Dr Faisal’s motorbike was found, Thursday (12/5/2022).

“From the results of the crime scene, we gathered all available information, clues to the location, or directly submitted the witness to the police,” said Anshari.

To handle this case, the Tolitoli Police formed a team consisting of the Traffic Unit and the Criminal Investigation Unit.

In addition, the search team has also combed around the location of the disappearance of Dr. Faisal. However, there is still no sign of its existence.

The search was carried out with the police, TNI, BPBD Tolitoli personnel, and local residents.

Found in safe condition

Missing for 20 days, the police finally found Dr. Faisal in a safe condition at the 42 Paleleh Inn, Buol Regency, with a woman named Husniati Subaer.

AKP Anshari Tolah revealed that Dr. Faisal arrived at Lodging 42 at around 15.00 WITA with Husniati Subaer, from the direction of Buol Regency.

They plan to stay one day and will continue their journey to Gorontalo to take Husniati to Makassar, South Sulawesi.

“Yes, that’s right, Dr. Faisal has been found, with a woman and is in good health,” said Ansari.

Meanwhile, Dr. Faisal and Husniati Subaer are currently being detained at the Paleleh Police Headquarters while waiting for the Buol Police Satreskrim to follow up.
