Carlos Pavón is one of the greatest soccer players in the history of Honduran soccer and thanks to his goals he got into the history of his team. One of the most important goals throughout his career was with Bicolor against El Salvador in a duel played in El Cuscatlán. Pavón scored the goal that qualified Honduras for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and thus relived that moment.

Who was your best partner with the Selection?
Pavón was questioned about who was his best teammate up front in his time as a national team and his response was praised by many.
“I had very good teammates in the National Team and thanks to them I made many goals in Bicolor. To say one is to disrespect others, we had a great generation and we were all part of each one, putting a grain of sand. It was a very good generation that cost us four heats to go to a World Cup ”he sentenced.
In that 2010 World Cup, Honduras stayed in the group stage after two defeats and a draw. The catrachos shared Group H with Spain (world champion in that edition), Chile and Switzerland.
